IALT:Learn something about Oyster cull starts in Stewart Island
Today I was reading about Oyster cull starts in Stewart Island and that the ministry for Primary Industries has started a cull of stewart Island oyster to stop the spread of deadly diseaese.
and also it said that the The kill off of the oysters will hopefully halt the spread of the parasite Bonamia ostreae.
The parasite was first discovered in Marlborough two years ago and last month was picked up on Stewart Island.
