Kiwis win Le Mans 24 hour race

IALA:Kiwis won in the Mans 24 hour race.

Today the New Zealand race car drivers Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley have won the historic Le Mans 24-hour motor race in France.
It is the first time two New Zealanders have shared the winners’ podium since Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon’s triumph in 1966. Although Earl Bamber did win the race in 2015.
The Kiwi pair and their German teammate, Timo Bernhard, perfomed an incredible comeback win. At one stage in the race they were in last place after a mechanical issue forced their car into the pit for over 45 minutes.
Bamber said it had been a wild ride and praised his pit crew for an excellent job throughout the race.
